As a framing device, the main character, Ted Mosby (Josh Radnor, with narration by Bob Saget in the year 2030 recounts to his son and daughter the events that led to his meeting their mother, which explains the title and allows for a narration in the past tense. How I Met Your Mother's other main characters are Marshall Eriksen (Jason Segel), Robin Scherbatsky (Cobie Smulders), Barney Stinson (Neil Patrick Harris), and Lily Aldrin (Alyson Hannigan).The show was recently renewed for a sixth season.
i haven't figured out who is ted mosby' wife in the series tho but i have learned a lot from the series.
my favourite character in the series is barney or swarley. he is just crazy, bubbly, LEGENDARY~ and awesome as he proclaimed himself in the series. he does not care about relationship with any women, he is enjoying his single life with his friends that searching for 'THE ONE', Ted Mosby, lily and marshall which is married couple after 10 years of relationship and robin, yeah the confused character about being serious in a relationship.
i always laughing out loud whenever i watch them. they crack stupid joke , torture each other mentally and physically however they still love each other no matter what they faced or felt. barney will always being with his friend at the bar although he can't stand the lame couple conversation from lily and marshal. ted is still marshall's housemate for long years even when marshal got married. robin is the assistant of lily, wherever lily goes, she will follow in giving advices and accepting advices from lily. lily is the flower among the thorns. she is the mother of all of them.
this is the kind of friendship that i want and pray for . its too much of reality tho , nothing to be dreamt about it but i haven't really secured in a bunch of friends coz im used to one on one kind of trust.
when i grow up, i would love to have their kind of friendship. have your own friends to hang out. no separation then look for another group of friends. thats so not good.
besides their friendship, i love the love that lily and marshall build. they have been for quite long then broke up for a while because of the wedding preparation stress then they become together again with the courage of their friend. barney bought lily's ticket to go home because he couldn't stand marshall keep mourning at the bar and tell story about lily. ted and robin as the middle person of lily and marshall . even during the wedding . it was a disaster before it starts but all of them making it beautiful outisde the reception hall to make the bribes feel good about the imperfect plan of the wedding.
it open my eyes about american society. all this while ive hearing watching and reading how american being open in relationship as in they don't really believe in long lasting love. no offense tho. but in this series, lily and marshall love is really bring out the old school of long lasting relationship is working.
my favourite part so far is season 3 episode 8. its portrays every human has its own bad habits then it portrays how 5 of them deal with it in the end, they just don't care about each other annoying habits. they live with it
